Life is dull, I work, I eat, I sleep, and that's about it.

A lot of people have been going on about Chuck Palwotsisname's short story published in the Guardian lately, but I'm convinced I've read it, or an anecdote like it, before. And that includes the swimming pool bit not in the Grauniad. Yeah, it's grim, but in the end, all it gives you is a few nasty moments (and, okay, it's difficult to not think about it whilst trying to get to sleep, which doesn't help).

Going to buy a shower tidy today. Saw a couple yesterday, wasn't sure how suitable they were, but since checking my shower, it seems they'll do fine. I'll go for the £4.99 one in Woolies, simply because it's a quid cheaper than the one in Robert Dyas. See, I told you my life was dull - I'm talking about my shower!

Less than a week to go until I fly out to see [livejournal.com profile] arosoff. Less than a week to go until I have a week off from work, which I'll be needing, I suspect.

It seems very familiar to me too - but it is based on an urban legend.

He says it's based on a true story and he heard it while researching one of his books (says he met the protaganist) so it's possible he may have already used a snippet in one of them.
