Even after just a day and a half of being back at work, my life's settled back down to the boring humdrum normality that it is. However, a long overdue viewing of Pirates of the Caribbean may solve that.
In other news, my PC at work caught the MSBlast! worm, and so I am now using someone else's PC. It's quite ironic that I got the damned thing at work. I couldn't get it at home, as my firewall is correctly configured to stop the attacks from getting through (I'd like to see if it keeps a log of attempts, though - I do run with an open ftp port, at times, and whilst MSBlast! scans all ports, I'd guess ftp is one of the more common routes it uses to launch its attacks). However, at work, turning the PC's own firewall on would totally screw my network connection - so I have to rely on protection from the network. This, it would appear, failed.
( WARNING: contains unadulterated mushiness )
