What a great start to the day

1. I got up late. Blame Goldie Hawn.
2. The train I was on was diverted to the Charing Cross branch.
3. I realised that I'd forgotten to renew my season ticket.
4. In frustration at 3, I kicked the step in front of me on the escalator. It hurt, but not as much as...
5. The fingernail I broke yesterday.
6. I nearly got run over by a bicycle - whilst I was walking on the pavement.
7. The cyclist was cheeky enough to stop dead and give me a dirty look just because I told him what I thought of him and where he should put his bicycle.
8. The assumption I made at work a couple of days ago turns out not to have been correct.

Add to that...

9. I'm not going to the cinema this evening because there were no tickets available for the film I wanted to see.
10. I haven't got enough supplies to cook dinner.
11. Work was rubbish, dammit.
