I don't think I want to dwell too much on Friday evening. Suffice it to say, I was feeling a little down, and someone helped me back up, a bit.

By 9am on Saturday, I had a copy of Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix. It dominated all of my free time until I finished it at around 7pm yesterday (I didn't have much free time, and felt that sleep was a good idea).

My not-so-free time was spent in Hyde Park having photographs taken of me by [livejournal.com profile] philipstorry, followed by a couple of films at the UGC in Docklands - Bruce Almighty, a film that owes a lot go Groundhog Day, but is nonetheless quite funny, not too schmaltzy, and well worth going to see; and 2 Fast 2 Furious, a no-brainer car-chase action flick that is bound to result in a TV spin-off.

Sunday, I'd resolved (with a little prodding) to go to a step aerobics class, and I duly turned up on time. I introduced myself to the instructor, all fine so far, it was a small class (me, the only bloke, and five women, including the instructor). The instructor said she'd slipped and fell in the changing room just before coming in, but felt fine, and she started the warm-up. Five minutes in to the warm up, she stopped, and said she couldn't remember the routine. After sitting down and complaining that she couldn't remember falling over (even though she'd told us five minutes before...), she got taken to hospital and that was the end of the class. I sincerely hope she's okay, though - but you can never tell with concussions. Fingers crossed she'll be back taking the class next week.

Into town after that, for dimsums (delicious, though I overdid it somewhat and made a complete mess, I am however utterly determined to get the hang of chopsticks no matter who gets black bean sauce all over them), ice cream, and a small but perfectly formed Zok meet ([livejournal.com profile] verlaine, [livejournal.com profile] toxicbunny, and [livejournal.com profile] darklily in attendance). Browsing in a comic shop brought an encounter with Drinky Crow, quite the funniest thing I've seen in ages (Tinky Winky Crow... heh heh heh!).

It's all gone boring since then (with the onset of the new week and work - oh well), but at least I've finished Harry Potter and have my life back again.
