Okay, so I got caught out with my spelling of "tyre". It won't happen again, honest. Anyway, I went looking to see if my actions in getting my tyre changed by the M4 were correct - namely, calling out the AA. It turns out I was indeed acting according to the recommendations in The Highway Code. It also means I've now discovered that The Highway Code is online, which is kinda handy.
