Another day, another Zoo. This time more cost-effective: pay-what-you-want entry at the Bronx Zoo, plus no all-attractions passes sold so all the "pay" exhibits were $3 each.

Highlights:
Tigers: Alexis the tiger wasn't there. We did get a close-up of the male though. Biiiig kitty.
Snow Leopard: Looked like a young one, it was trying to climb up the glass partition, and was also looking quite bored/forlorn at its efforts.
Elephants: A long-distance view of a couple of Asian elephants. No African ones in the zoo, but we saw these from a monorail, so they have to count.
Rhinos: Mommy rhino and baby rhino, again from the monorail. Very cool.
Monkeys: Baaaaaaby monkeys. And monkeys with very long tails (Colobus monkeys). Alexis insisted on purchasing a cuddly Colobus monkey. Bailey the yap-yap likes the tail on the toy monkey. Mind you, Bailey has so far kidnapped my socks, and Alexis's bra and sandals. I think it's just a puppy thing.
Gorillas: Baaaaaaaaaaby gorilla! And another gorilla whose favourite trick is to drum rapidly against the glass separating the enclosure from the viewing public. Sometimes, you have to wonder who the exhibit is.

Alexis has uploaded the photos, so I guess the link will appear in her LJ sooner or later.

We now have a cuddly Colobus monkey (as mentioned), and a cuddly baby snow leopard. My wife is obsessed with animals, particularly cute baby animals. This worries me sometimes.
