Yeah, so, Friday, I went out clubbing with Ralph. We got kicked out of LA2 (what used to be Club X, no idea what it's called these days - but it's still basically a rock night) at around 2.30am. Days were, you could get away with boisterous "dancing". Shame. That left Saturday a bit of a washout though I had to go pick up the cat food as promised. Thank {insert deity of choice here} for the 143 bus - and the café next door to the vet's.

On Sunday, we did very little.

On Monday, we gave [livejournal.com profile] kesstrel a lift up to Barnet so she could drop some of Nat's stuff off at her friend's house.

Tonight, I have been mostly playing bridge with Dave. Dave got drunk, I did not.

Which leads me to the real excuse for making an increasingly rare entry (hey, only my wife complains that I don't write enough - if you want more, pester me!) - the random playlist concocted by my Archos (think an iPod the size, and twice the weight of, a mid-80s Walkman - but hey, I can drop it and it still works) on the way home.

In vaguely correct order, with some gaps probably, and of course, commentary:
Metallica - Master of Puppets Actually, no comment needed.
Don McLean - American Pie One epic, followed right away by another, in a totally dissimilar vein.
Little Angels - Radical Your Lover Always good to hear a track by the Angels, this is one of their better ones.
Rage Against The Machine - Township Rebellion Typical of all the tracks from their eponymous album, this starts slowly and builds to a raging crescendo.
Tiffany - I Think We're Alone Now ...followed directly after RAtM. I'd be embarrassed - but secretly, you like this song, too!
Jet - Cold Hard Bitch Cold hard track, too.
Dusty Springfield - Son Of A Preacher Man From the Pulp Fiction soundtrack, of course.
U2 - Bullet The Blue Sky "Into the arms of America...."
