I was driving back from Maddy's on Saturday, having helped her (amongst other things) to furnish her flat with a dining table (an Ikea Jussi, if you know which one I mean). In an effort to avoid a nasty-looking traffic jam on the A12 (it was backed up to Leytonstone from the Redbridge roundabout, again, if you know the road, you'll know why I came off at the Green Man), I took a detour through Snaresbrook and South Woodford so I could join the North Circular there.

Now, had I actually taken the correct route, towards Walthamstow, I wouldn't have been able to make the observation I did. My first job after I moved up to London in early 1997, and indeed the only other job I've ever held whilst up here, was two weeks' temping for an insurance company based at South Wooford. The route I took to avoid the jam on the A12 took me right past the office, or rather, right past where the office used to be.

Any London resident will be able to tell me instantly what will be replacing the former office.
