Laughing on the outside, crying on the inside

Coming back from holiday, into the cauldron of work, is a cruel and terrible way to do things. A grace period should be allowed. Say a couple of days. Barely four days ago, I was surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Barranco de Masca. Now I'm surrounded by the 8 million souls who call London their home. In both places, I am alone; in only one, am I content to be alone.

Enjoy the sound of silence, while it still lasts.
