No wonder Hans Blick had such a hard time getting a handle on Saddam's WMDs - the previous inspectors had already been paid off to go hide them somewhere else....

10 Years Ago Today

It was a Sunday. I woke up around 7am. I switched on the TV which at the time was right next to my bed (advantages of bedsit living!) Whatever I was expecting to be on, wasn't. Half an hour later I was bored (I think by this time I'd realised that every channel had the same thing on, and even the radio stations weren't playing ball. Actually, no: Live! TV was showing its usual programmes, with a little scroll across the bottom of the screen. So I ended up watching topless darts, probably). I was multiply annoyed because not only was it Sunday, and I had to do my laundry (a long-ish trek to the laundrette back then), then go food shopping, but it transpired that all of the day's football matches had been postponed.

The whole thing lasted a week, and the following Saturday (the funeral) was worse. And it didn't stop then either because of Elton John butchering one of his own, sorry, Bernie's, classic songs.

All that for one dead whiny adulterous princess. <aussie>Strewth.</aussie>
