I miss using LJ and mono during the day (through choice and willpower, not through outright bans/blocks at work). Time was I'd make many off-the-cuff comments as my day progressed. Which is probably why I stopped using LJ and mono at work due to the time wastage (and a few softly-spoken words in my ear by the boss). I did fell more in touch with life, the universe, and friends, though, more able to keep up. Now when I get home I skim entries, maybe reading one or two in full, notice copious amounts of comments on entries made four or five hours previously that I might've commented on five hours ago but not now when there's 90 bazillion comments already....
I think what I'm trying to say is, I'm feeling somewhat detached, and have been feeling more and more detached for some time now. Friends are not just for "special" occasions, at least not the local ones; they're for the week-in-week-out things. Ah well.
