*grins*
1. Are you considering moving to the US?
Yes, but in the long term: we won't be upping sticks for two years at least. It'll take me that long to get my visa, whichever way we go about it.
2. If you did move, what would you miss about the UK the most?
Alexis would have me say "proper bacon", but I'd also miss cricket. I'm sure I could set up a supply of the former, the latter (in the form of live coverage of England matches) would be tricky to arrange, I fear.
3. What faith are you?
If I recall, I answered "No faith" on my census form, or somesuch. Organised religion isn't my bag; blame it on having gone to a C of E primary school.
4. Where is your icon from?
I got it from the Games Workshop website. It's a photo of what I believe is one of the plastic Eldar miniatures from the Eldar Guardians box set, designed for use with their Warhammer 40K table-top game. The actual minature is painted as a Guardian from the Iyanden craftworld; coincidentally, this was my chosen craftworld when I played 40K. The weapon is a shuriken thrower; quite a nasty bit of kit. I'm amazed I've remembered that much detail!
5. Where does your username come from?
Well, this question harks back to the old (or is it still going?!) "User Names Origins" file on Mono :-) So, take your pick from:
a) East London Dial-a-Ride;
b) An obscure deity worshipped by a small tribe of South American indians who were conquered by the Spanish in the 16th century; the name of their deity, a bizarre cross between a llama and a man, was translated into Spanish by the Conquistadores as "El Dar".
c) The enigmatic and nomadic race who roam the galaxy in vast craftworlds in Games Workshop's Warhammer 40K universe. (And who were named for the Eldar of Tolkien's Middle-Earth; referring to the Elven race as a whole.)
Now, as to how I came to start using the name, well, that's an answer to a question not asked ;-)
I hope that the above satisfy your curiosity!
I'd post the pass-it-on-and-ask-me-for-an-interview bit, but I'd never manage to come up with one question for most people, let alone five. But here's the pass-it-on bit anyway:
1) Leave a comment, saying you want to be interviewed.
2) I will respond; I'll ask you five questions.
3) You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4) You'll include this explanation.
5) You'll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.
