One - 'calumny'. This was the answer to a clue from the crossword on the back of yesterday's Evening Standard. Or rather, when I left it, the word was '_ALUMNY', with the clue being 'deception' or something similar. I had no idea what the first letter was, and was prepared to leave it at that. That is, until I can across the word 'calumnies' in Catch-22, in precisely the right context, this very morning. What a strange world, eh? (And not to mention Maddy asking for crossword answers in her diary earlier today).
Two - I never realised organising a wedding could be so stressful. If anything, having to organise one should put one off forever from getting married more than once.
