That's been the course of this journal of late, so I reckon a bit more of an update is in order, don't y'all? One thing at a time, I suppose.
I've finished my NaNo2003 novel, on November 30. The day before, I'd been into town to meet up with various members of my generation of my family. The full list being: my sisters Sara and Kathryn, Sara's husband John, John's brother Karl and his wife, Jetta (pronounced 'Yedda', she's Danish) and their two children, Enya (2) and Rhiannon (1), my cousin Tracey and her boyfriend, Rory. The only one missing was Kathryn's boyfriend Manu who was in Moscow, installing a new communication system on the Metro. It was cold, wet, and windy, so our original plan of going round on the Eye never happened. Instead, after eating in TGI's (massively over-priced - though I was impressed with the two kids, who could both so easily have gone off in sympathy when a young lad at the next table started bawling his eyes out), I did some shopping, booked a restaurant for my birthday, then we all got together again and had ice-cream in the Haagen-Dazs cafe on Leicester Square.
And this weekend has been the Winter Mono Meet. Of which there will be more later, possibly.
