RIP, Gordon Ley, my Great Uncle, who died peacefully, if suddenly and unexpectedly, at home today. Less than a month ago, we were playing cards at my Dad's birthday party. Now, I'll never have the chance to win back the money you took off me!
My boiler - sorry, water heater - is a Britony II FF.
This tiny detail, that I didn't mention over the 'phone to the gas appliance service people, means that they won't repair it.
Not that they know anyone who actually will, mind.
It's just as well my shower's electric, and I can afford to eat out or get takeaways. I don't like cleaning the kitchen or bathroom anyway, besides, it's much more fun using freezing cold water, don't you think?
And the sodding fridge-freezer's on the blink too! Just as well it's Winter.
The good news? I've got my holiday time booked off. A week at the end of February. I can almost feel the warm sunshine of the Canaries now - no, hang on, that's just the electric heater.
And for being a good boy at work, I got a Wagon Wheel.
And finally...
...if I don't have any music playing, I just let FreeAmp pick a track at random. That's how I determine my 'Current Music'. Hence Elvis (there's about a 1 in 15 chance of it being Elvis anyway; the odds on Guns N' Roses, Queen, and in particular Tom Lehrer, are a lot better).
