Yet another of my irregular updates. I don't even remember when the last one was. Suffice it to say, if there's anything ever worth mentioning, it'll get mentioned (maybe a week or two late, but I'll mention it).

Work is still dull, I still keep meaning to get my CV in shape and ship out, but I'm just too lazy to do so.

Home, aside from upcoming busy weekends (see below), is still apathetic. DIY projects (coat rack, bookshelf for the bedroom) sit piling up in the hallway. As do the two bags of clothes I keep planning to take to the charity shop/recycling centre "next Saturday morning". Then we move to the living room with its piles of junk on every free surface that isn't required for sitting on at that time. And the bedroom, with the computer desk and TV/video stand that could so easily be dealt with. Anyone want a very decent computer desk, on wheels, with slide-out keyboard/mouse tray, in tasteful grey chipboard and black metal? One careful owner, new owner collects, though prepared to deliver within M25 (but again, see below for schedule). So, well, we won't be selling up and moving in the near future, unless we seriously kick our own butts.

I was privileged to witness Andy and Nay tie the knot this past Saturday. It was a lovely day, a lovely ceremony, and I'll echo the sentiment that the father of the bride's speech really hit the spot. I took photos, but in my usual fit of apathy they probably won't see the light of day until around 2009.

The best man's 1972 Ledaig also hot a certain spot, too, but that came a little later ;-)

Then I went to the doctor's today - I have had ecszma flaring up on the back of my hands and on my fingers the past couple of months, and whilst the E45 is stopping it itching, it's not making it go away. So the doc prescribed some antibiotics to get rid of any infection that might've got in to the sores, then a tube of Betnovate to hopefully blitz the stuff and get rid for good. Does anyone have any idea, though, what environmental issues might have caused it? I've so far discounted: the cat (it started, though a lot less worse, long before the cat moved in); detergent (been using the same stuff since before it got bad); soap or handwash. Hmm.

Finally, my schedule for the next couple of months:
13-14th Aug: free
19-21st Aug: stag do in Lancaster
27th Aug: stag do, presumably in the London area
28-29th Aug: free
3rd Sep: wedding, Hertfordshire
4th Sep: free
9-11th Sep: wedding, Aberdeen
17th Sep-1st Oct: wedding, Long Island

Book me now while I'm still hot....
