1am

I only just got back 20 minutes ago, from bridge, so I guess it's not that dreadful I'm up at 1am, as it was, say, yesterday.

Anyway, I seem to be succumbing to things.

Firstly, I'm giving Firefox a trial period. Not because I'm fed up with IE - it's still a workable browser, it still does a few things that other browsers don't - but because I think it's getting on a bit. I tried Opera about a year and a half ago, and just didn't get on with it at all - it wasn't intuitive enough for me, as a long-time IE user. Firefox has been so much simpler to pick-up-and-play, and just feels "righter". It's probably here to stay, but that's not to say I won't give IE7 a look. I can see why Firefox is gaining market share, though.

The second thing I've finally succumbed to is sudoku. I did the one on the back of the Standard whilst waiting for my food at the Gourmet Burger Kitchen in Putney this evening - took me the whole 10 minutes or so. It's obvious that there are standard techniques and arrangements of numbers (or whatever 9 distinct entities are chosen to make up the puzzle) to spot, and therefore apply standard methodology to. I do wonder if it'll last, though - mind you, "they" probably said that about crosswords when they first appeared!

Oh, and we got a new printer at work today. That's just how exciting it is. I was also reminded that I work with some truly incompetent and utterly ignorant people - some of whom are supposedly "senior" staff.
