Things are getting busy:
The taxman has noticed that I forgot to file my tax return last year. In addition to the tax, I owe him a £100 fine. Oops.
My water heater really has given up the ghost. So it's time to get hold of some quotes for a proper new boiler, which is probably going to go hand in hand with central heating... expensive, no doubt, and disruptive to boot.

elvichar move next weekend and have offered to hire a van and do the driving. So that's another thing.
Then there's new furniture to buy, top of the list being a coffee table, shelves, and a bedside cabinet/low chest of drawers.
Oh and my sister is in town this week, and I'm meeting up with her for drinks on Wednesday (what I can't work out is just exactly why, whilst she is doing a Professional Writing course at the Falmouth College of Arts, she's got a week's work experience in Teddington).
Add in the swimming, work as usual, and my continuing dieting efforts, it's all a little overwhelming.
