chained_girl's birthday today. Therefore belated congratumilations, and stuff.
In other news, I was in Leatherhead today, playing bridge. Dave and I had somehow managed to qualify for the regional qualifier for the National Pairs championship. So we traipsed along to Leatherhead Leisure Centre (try saying that pissed!), and proceeded to do better than we thought in the first half, and worse than we thought in the second, and finish just above halfway. We played cricket in the break between sessions, see, I knew that buying that cricket set and leaving it in my car would come in handy some day!
We woz all cultured yesterday - visiting the RA to see first the Matisse exhibition (way too short, overpriced, not that good) and the Turks exhibition (much more like it, worth the money, lots of neat stuff - the attention to detail in some of the work is astonishing).
And that's about it.
If at some point in the next month something interesting happens, I'll try to remember to post about it within a week or two. Maybe.
