Friday
Alexis came down at lunchtime and we picked out our wedding rings. So that's that sorted then. She came back after work and we went to Wagamama for dinner, then up to
kesstrel's for her birthday party. A good number of us packed into her flat and a great time was had by all, and those there included, amongst others,
bluedevi,
mooism,
erming,
kauket,
philipstorry,
kyte, and
eponymousarchon. We had a very long 'Name Game', in which Queen Elizabeth I featured no less than four times.
Alexis had also bought some chocolates (a sample, quite necessary, you understand) from L'Atelier du Chocolate (literally, 'The Chocolate Workshop'). They're very rich, and have some quite odd flavours. There are still a number to check out, though. It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it.
Saturday
Back to Muswell Hill, where we met up with
eponymousarchon and
kyte, and headed up to Moss Bros to sort out our duds for my wedding, where George is being my Best Man. With our suits sorted (though we're both now being put on diets to get a little more room in the waistcoats...), we met up with
kesstrel again and did lunch and trawled charidee shops. I bought a rather nice cheese cutter for a quid :-)
Came home via Waitrose, picking up food for dinner. Alexis made me toad-in-the-hole - and very good it was too! Seems she's been converted to sausages, in that form at least.
Can't believe it's still only Saturday... and tomorrow we're off to Slade Green for Andy and Nay's handfasting. So I might head off to bed in a bit.
