The Ultima Vs: heroes & villains

So, inspired by today's IMDB Poll, I went looking for the AFI's top 100 Screen Heroes. You need to register for the site, but having done so I discovered that the Heroes are also presented along with the Villains.

And it's done so in a handy side-by-side list that matches them all up! How could I resist? So I've cut&pasted the list and present it here in a 'Vs.' format. Some intriguing battles there, I can tell you. #3 for instance: Bond would probably not only defeat Vader by listening to Vader's evil plans for 5 minutes whilst secretly freeing himself from whatever cuffs/binding he was in, before using the gadget Q gave him at the beginning of the film to snap Vader's lightsaber in two and strip him of his Force powers, he'd find time afterwards to seduce Princess Leia and get in a couple of double entendres in the meantime between Martinis. All without rumpling his suit.

If I feel that a character has transcended a film (or if the film is named after the character and is sufficiently obvious...), I've not included the film's title. So mutter at me if you don't know which film such-and-such a character was in.

1. Atticus Finch (from To Kill A Mockingbird) vs. Dr. Hannibal Lecter
2. Indiana Jones vs. Norman Bates

Ooh, I want to see the film of 1. Some of these I have no idea; I've never even seen a complete Bond film all the way through.

1)Atticus Finch. Just.
4) Wicked Witch of the West
18) Robin Hood
32) Philip Marlowe
37) Neither - they leave and set up business together.
39) Lassie
45) Zorro

and I'm sorry, but that's all I have information for.
