Top 10 LJ Bands/Artists

So, I went to 'view popular interests', and spotted the first 10 named bands or popular music artists. You want to know? Well, okay, here goes (in reverse order, to ramp up the tension):

10. Bjork (14520 users)
9. Nine-Inch-Nails (14963)
8. System Of A Down (15269)
7. Linkin Park (15903)
6. The Beatles (16443)
5. The Cure (17869)
4. Tori Amos (19920)
3. Nirvana (21161)
2. Radiohead (27238)

And finally... number one band or artist with LJ users is...

1. Weezer (28158 users)

Well, there's quite a surprise! Coming as soon as I can be bothered: LJ users' Top 10 movies.

You missed some bands out, such as Incubus (23086), Tool (21199), Dashboard Confessional (17045).

Well, I corrected the Incubus miss... but as I've never heard of either Tool or Dashboard Confessional, I can't really be blamed for missing them out. I was merely more intrigued that Weezer were top, which I can't quite get my head around. Must be an American thing. I mean, 'Buddy Holly' was catchy, but it was years ago and really, what have they done since?

You've never heard of Tool? Woah. They're good.

I have no idea about Dashboard Confessional though, and cannot name any songs by Weezer apart from 'Buddy Holly'.

Weezer have had several albums out since... though I'm also quite surprised to see them as #1.
