Agreed, too dark. I've reskinned Fx to be different in a small way, but not this much, and htecontrast is too low.

You can set it to start at a blank page though, which I've done.

Meh, I'll likely stick to Fx (it's a public beta anyway), but it's nice to have the option, and I'll definitely test in it now I can.
