Weekend fun in the sun
In an attempt to keep my loyal readership on their toes (you're still there, right?!), I might as well mention what I've been up to.
Saturday night was Mark's stag do, which involved a few things:
(a) Beer.
(b) Arcade machines and dodgems.
(c) Beer.
(d) Being entertained in "gentlemen's clubs".
(e) Beer.
(f) Curry.
(g) Beer.
Sunday involved watching cricket, and losing what was left of my fingernails, then my fingers, then my hands, until I was finally left with two bloody stumps dangling from my shoulders. Luckily I have grown new appendages, entirely identical to the old ones, very quickly, in order for me to be able to type this.
Today, we went to the zoo! And we saw lions and tigers and grillers and penguins and monkeys and parrots and giraffes and snakes but not any spiders but that's okay 'cos I think spiders are well scary and not stick insects either but they creep me out big-time so that was okay too but it was great.
My sanity is also in the process of being restored: Alexis's laptop has been repaired and she's headed off to the Apple Store to pick it up. Phew!
Right now I'm trying to ignore the big pile of washing up that needs to be done, in the hope that it'll magically do itself. Or maybe the cat will do it for me.
